About the project
This project includes the discovery of mathematical phenomena that accompany us in life while improving the visual perception of students.
We aim to create awareness by combining geometry with historical culture by discovering all the mathematical phenomena that represent the country in the flag , architecture in historical buildings ,patterns in clothing with local identity, figures in goods reflecting the culture used.
In this respect , we aim to enable our students to share the historical heritage values between cultures with each other , develop artistic perspectives, and realize the value that mathematics and geometry add to human life.
AIMS
- Increasing interest in Mathematics and geometry classes.
- To provide and improve cultural relations
-Understand the properties of polygons and rectangles.
- Understand the properties of three dimensional objects
- Develop self-confidence and self-efficacy through collaboration and independent work of students.
- To create an interdisciplinary learning environment that includes history, art and mathematics.
- To make students have skills about project-based study
- Designing products that meet curriculum objectives.
- Develop students ' creative thinking and design skills.
- Improve language skills,
- Direct and improve digital learning among students
EXPECTED RESULTS
1-to make them aware of the geometry of the historical and artistic cultures of the countries
2 - to develop empathy and respect for different cultures
3 - to translate negative prejudices against Mathematics and geometry into positive thoughts
4-to develop peer relationships and to increase communication skills
5-to improve language skills.
6-Creating the project's Web page and digital magazine to share the work done
7-to organize a project exhibition for dissemination of activities and activities.
