Learning English doesn’t only mean having exams or getting high marks. Improved skills and outputs of the language have the utmost importance in being competent in a language. As English teachers, we are responsible for providing activities to our students so that they will have chances to show their skills and interests. We should help them come out of their shells. Therefore, we have decided to organize karaoke contests in our schools. They will do karaoke single or in a group. Songs will be chosen or approved by the teachers. In each term there will be one karaoke contest and the winners will be awarded. Students performances will be shared in Twin Space and in school sites with permission of their families. Also, the process with each step will be commented by students who will participate the contests. To perform a duet with the students from partner schools, we will also use some applications to help them sing together. Each participant will get a certificate of participation.
