Summary letter of the Polish project partners about theire Erasmus+ KA2 mobility experiences from Budapest
We have spent wonderful week visiting Szabo Lorinc. On first
day we were kindly welcomed by our project coordinator
Timea Bem. Thanks to her we didn`t get lost in a big school.
She organized our stay perfectly so we were on time for each
lesson. During our visit we had a chance to observe many
lessons paying attention to techniques used in bilingual
classes, adapting teaching strategies to students`needs, used
coursebooks, managing the school and usage of ICT tools.
We were amazed by the teacher`s active methods used in
lower primary school and excellent language skills of upper-
primary school and secondary school students. Teachers
whose lessons we observed used such applications for games
as QUIZZEZ, worksheets, videos, songs and jeopardy games.
W have observed different methods of work such as group
work, pair work and individual work.
Additionally on the second day we showed students involved
in the project a power point presentation about Poland and
our school. We presented them the most important
information regarding our capital city, places worth visiting
and our school. At the end of the presentation they played a
game which was based on the information included in the
presentation. Polish students have prepared small gifts for
Hungarian students. We handed them bookmarks and
lapbooks with some pictures of Warsaw and information
about each student.
Moreover, in the afternoon we`ve had a meeting with our
coordinator Timea and other teachers involved in the project
Anita, Csilla and Kristina. We specified the details and
responsibilities of the project: „Learning about legends and
history”.
Not only did we observe variety of lessons like Geography or
Biology in English, but we also had a chance to visit the most
terrific, must-see monuments. We`ve seen astonishing
Parliament, Fisherman`s Bastion, St. Stephen`s Basilica,
Margaret Island, Shoes on the Danube Bank and the
Vajdahunyad Castle which is included in our project.
In the evening we` ve seen the most incredible view of
Budapest with all the lights and illuminations.
I`d like to thank you all, especially Timea, Anita, Kristina, Csilla
and all the teachers whose lessons we`ve seen for such a
great opportunity to learn from you by observing your
lessons, formal and informal discussions regarding our work
and responsibilities.
THANK YOU
Magda, Ewa, Kamila & Renata
