The Project Schedule

  • „Our Daily Routines” – eTwinning for ESL students (Poland, France, Slovenia, Italy)

The aim of the project is to practise Present Simple and share about teenagers’ daily routines.

    The project schedule:

Stage 1: As a worm-up the schools may play a Kahoot about Simple Present grammar and compare their results. Students present their schools using Present Simple. A short video presentation or a slideshow with voice narration is made by every school. Every school prepares a logo for our project and the students vote for the best one to be used. Every school prepares 5 questions (in Present Simple) to be answered after watching the presentation (for example: what time does our school start every day?). The teachers produce a Kahoot about all the schools. The students play the Kahoot! . If it’s possible we play LIVE . Optional: the winning school gets some reward

Stage 2: On our Twinspace we open 5 pages for 5 schooldays. For each day an international group of students is designated (1-2 students from each school). Students create their school timetables for the designated day. Then they have to rewrite the daily routine of their colleagues using Simple Present (for example: on Monday Jean-Luc starts the school at 7 AM…) We create also a Twinspace page (or a padlet) for free time activities. Students give their name and write what are their free time activities. Students work in international pairs: every student draws a person form another country and has to ask him/her at least 3 questions in Present Simple about the activity (for example: how often do you … ?. ) We use Twinspace chat or forum to arrange the dialogues between students.

Stage 3: Videoconferences (or sharing mini-videos). If possible we will have school-to-school live meetings . Students will talk for a few minutes in pairs ( for example 2PL – 2FR) on one topic: The schoolyear, the weather, the schoolweek, family live, meals, or anything that is suitable for Present Simple. The topic is given by the teacher. After the dialog the students may rewrite what they remembered.

Stage 4: Final activities and good-bye Another Kahoot is played , based on the content of our Twinspace.
