The non-recycling of plastic costs us EUR 105 billion each year at European level. Majority of plastic products we use, and more specifically of the plastic produced to date, have not been disposed off in a proper way. Unfortunately, a considerable amount of this waste ends up in our water streams. Numerous studies have shown that plastics are the most prominent type of waste found floating in our rivers, seas and oceans.
