As part of the evaluation of their knowledge about food and food-related problems, the students of the 8th grade partiipated in an activity based on language games.

1. Food-related problems and advice

Students are given a sheet of paper divided in four columns. In the first column there are pictures of children who have got different health problems, while the second, third and fourth columns read a series of questions, namely: What's the matter with him/her? What should he/she stop doing to be healthy? What should he/she start doing to be healthy? Students are not supposed to answer the questions themselves, but to discover the solutions on strips of paper which are given to them by the teacher. Their task is to identify the answers that fit the three questions and glue them on the sheet of paper.

2. Proverbs about food / Recipes

Students are divided in two teams of sex-seven members. The first team is given strips of paper which read the two halves of different English proverbs about food. The students' task is to cooperate and identify the proverbs, glue the strips of paper on a sheet and write their Romanian equivalents. The second team is given a sheet of paper reading a list of ingredients and strips of paper reading the instructions on how to prepare a certain dish. Their task is to work together and make out the recipe.

3. Food and Drink Crossword Puzzle

The same two teams compete in doing a crossword puzzle in the shortest amount of time as possible. They have the clues on a sheet of paper; their task is to cooperate and identify the solutions.
