Çiğdem Güneş Çilek, MEHMET AKİF ERSOY PRIMARY SCHOOL in TURKEY (SAMSUN/ ÇARŞAMBA)

Our school is located in the Black Sea Region of Turkey and serves in a rural area. We currently have 25 teachers and approximately 360 students being enrolled in grades 1 to 4 and at the pre-school level. The students we are working with are between 6-10 years of age. We have 2 pre-school classes, 5 first grade classes, 4 second grade classes, 4 third grade classes and 4 fourth grade classes. I am the only English language teacher who has to deal with 12 of these classes since English language instruction in Turkey starts from second grade onwards. We work from 08:40 to 14:10 from Monday to Friday. I hope that we will do great things together...
