SESSION GOALS
- To define stereotypes & prejudice and understand the connection between them
- To state harmful outcomes of stereotypes & prejudice
- To be able to give examples of a stereotype and identify those illustrated by other students
- To develop listening comprehension (foreign language)
ACTIVITY 1
Make students listen to a joke in the target language that uses (a) stereotype(s) or/and (a) prejudice(s).
I've selected this one for my Dutch learning students, but I'm sure it will be easy to find one in any other language:

Let your students guess what you will be teaching about.
ACTIVITY 2
Show this video (without words, so can be used in other subjects too):

Ask your students if this video gives examples of stereotypes or prejudices. Guide them and find together the right answer. Guide them and find together a good definition of both concepts.
ACTIVITY 3
To check if they understood well the difference between sterotype and prejudice. Let them listen to this song (I've selected this one for my Dutch learning students, so it is also a vocabulary exercice).

ACTIVITY 4
To end the activity, use hand out 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 of the toolbox of the Erasmus+ project.
