1. About the project

  • Information of the project

In this project, we want to introduce English alphabet and spelling skills to our students in a new, creative way. We also hope to enhance other language skills like writing, listening and reading using ICT tools. For our students, English is a second language which can be problematic. We believe that the international character of this project will be a big advantage and huge motivator in a way to language proficiency. Activities included in this project will help students cultivate their interpersonal and multicultural skills as a group work, cooperation with children from different countries, inventing creative ways to solve a problem. It will start in September 2018 and last half of the school year till January 2018 and will include primary school subjects such as English as a second language and computer class.

    1. Introducing the alphabet using songs, flashcards and collaboratively preparing alphabet poster using ICT tools like powerpoint in Drive. Each partner will upload images created by students, print it and create a poster mural on the classroom
    2. Introducing ourselves (saying names and age) with spelling names. Partner will record videos and send it to each other so students will know who they are working with.
    3. introducing new vocabulary, spelling it and preparing words list to share with the rest. Every 3-4 weeks (for example after finishing some part of material) partners will prepare new words list that we can exchange and add to our alphabet mural and extend our vocabulary and benefit from each other.
    4. International spelling contest which will include all the words gathered form eTwinning partners
