Our school is situated in the north of the Czech Republic. It has about 170 pupils and 23 teachers. Our pupils attend the school from the age of 3 to 15, as we offer pre-school, primary and low secondary education. Our classes include mixed ability children. Our classes are highly inclusive of all children with various abilities and needs. A low number of pupils in the class (approximately 17) give us a chance to focus on the individual approach to pupils according to their needs. We believe that the active involvement of pupils in international projects will bring them many benefits to their future lives. Therefore we try to implement eTwinning projects and Erasmus Plus. Regularly for several years, we have been taking part in the project Laterna Futuri, which develops cooperation, creativity, teamwork and intercultural competence in border areas of the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. We see that knowledge of foreign language is highly important nowadays.
Agrupamento de Escolas do Barreiro has 1000 pupils aged between 5 and 15 years and 100 teachers. It has kindergarden, primary and low secondary education. English as a foreign language is taught since preparatory class (age 6) and French or Spanish since 7th grade (age 12).
Our school was awarded with the eTwinning School Label for the 2018-2020 school year. We have several active eTwinning projects.
In this project, there will be students aged 12-14 involved.
