At School Together – eTwinning Project

 

The below are just suggestions, all members of this project should feel free to do their own specific activities. The aim of this project is to have fun, share ideas and last but not least using digital tools to enhance both teaching and learning experience.

 

November Activities:

Introduction:

The following are some ideas how you can introduce you class to your fellow eTwinning partners.

1. Using Animoto – this a versatile web2 tool to upload a set of photos and a 30 sec video is created.

2. PicCollage - is a photo collage maker, this can be used as an app or else we try to download the windows version on the class computer.

3. Befunky - https://www.befunky.com/ is also a quick and easy web2 tool to create instant collages.

Autumn Topic:

Hereunder are some activity ideas:

1. Using Easi-Scope to explore different leaves in nature.

2. Using the camera to take autumn nature pictures. Compare and contrast with other different seasons.

3. Using the video app to record songs related to autumn.

4. Activities related to feasts which are celebrated in autumn and which are particularly related to the Maltese culture.

5. Using the IFP (interactive flat panel) to work out activities related to the topic.

December Activities:

Christmas Topic:

• http://www.abcya.com/christmas_tree.htm This could be used with every child to custom make their own Christmas Tree. Then you save the work by using the Print as PDF feature. Each child can type his own name. Then these will be collected in a presentation.

• The Light Panel can be used; children can be involved in a counting activity by decorating a Christmas Tree silhouette with counters/jewels.

• Interactive Flat Panel – The teacher can prepare an activity using the Active Inspire software, the teacher will learn how to use the clone feature. (Ideas: decorating a Christmas tree or building a snowman)

 

January/February Activites:

Mar - Apr Activities:

Spring Topic:

Hereunder are some activity ideas:

• Using Easi Scope – to explore different types of fruit, seeds, flowers…..one can relate to the story of The Hungry Caterpillar

• Qr code – the teacher shows an image. Children find the hidden picture by reading the qr code. Each qr code has a hidden letter. At the end the word SPRING is formed.

About the project

During this project the partners will share good practices of their daily classroom activities of their respective pupils. They will discuss a particular theme together on which they work within a time frame. Various tools both digital and traditional are to be used to deliver their learning objectives.
