Hurray - finally Edelweiss the Marmot has arrived to Most, Czech Republic.

It was 22nd of October when a big parcel arrived to the Primary school in Most :-) All the pupils of 5th class were so excited :-)

So have a look inside :-)   Poor Edelweiss, come out :-)

Tomorrow we are going for 5 days autumn holidays :-) so today we have learnt some information about the Alp Marmot.

Because we don´t know a lot about it :-) So we looked up some facts on the internet and discussed about it. Now we know more about the Marmots. In CR you can watch the Marmots only in the ZOO.

Halloween !

31st October - traditional popular holiday in UK and America. And because we learn English we should know more about this old tradition. So on Friday 31st during our English lesson we discussed about Halloween. Younger pupils and teachers of our school usually celebrate this holiday through project day called "the Day of Imps, Fairies and other similar heroes" (den skřítků a strašidel). The whole day pupils wear costumes and do different activities connected with the masks. As you could see our French friend Edelweiss helped us with everything :-)

So the time when Edelweiss is at Czech school is almost over :-( and there will be time to say him Good bye soon. He was visiting the countryside with 3 girls during the autumn holidays - the short presentation about this trip you will be able to see soon.

Today it was special day for some of Czech pupils - they have visited the Headmistress of the school to tell her about the project and about the host from France - the Marmot Edelweiss. They have asked her to give the school stamp to Edelweiss´ passport. The Headmistress likes this project a lot.

And it´s time to say Goodbye to French mascot Edelweiss :-) We enjoyed a lot of fun with him.
