Hello from Italy

    SCUOLA VIVA&Etwinning School

Hello to you all, my name is Antonella (in eTwinning Live you find me as Antonietta Bianca Ferrara). I am a newly appointed ambassador in my region which is beautiful Campania in southern Italy.

In my town we are very proud of our folklore tradition, which is Carnival. At school we make an important project about. Please appreciate the one-minute trailer.

The project idea "Indivisibili EVOlution" I brought with me is to let school curriculum project design evolve and enlarge thanks to an eTwinning project in order to involve as much as possible students and teachers of the school, in perfect eTwinning School Mood.

In fact, the question is "How can the eTwinning School label affect the school's project design?"

The word EVOlution represents the fact that a school can evolve its project design by sharing its practice, and confronting it with other ideas and visions.

The video I share is the result of an experiment I did to integrate various activities: the eTwinning project "Dream on - amène tes rêves à l'école", the project "Scuola Viva", financed by the Campania region, and in particular the module "Indivisibili", the project "Un mondo a colori", both on the valorisation of personal resilience and cultural heritage.

Through this synergy I obtained collaboration from the other teachers of the school, I worked with more and more students, and furthermore I gained the opportunity to enrich the project by the integration with another project "Schoolmovie".

The result is this beautiful short movie.

    Francesco, dont'you dream

         (you can activcate English subtitles).

You find more about on the school's website page Indivisibili Evolution>>>.

Evolving the idea by looking for more partners in eTwinning

I would like to thank our Czech colleagues for this great opportunity in Prague.

In this seminar I have worked with a fantastic and creative team, Natalia Gutaruk from Ukraine, Federica Tagliafichi and Ilenia Brancato from Italy.

Title: Indivisibili EVO - looking for happiness

Short descriptionCan we separate from our home, our land, our language, our culture? Can we make a journey to find our roots and ties to our territory to further enlarge our vision and create new connections? Schools involved can start from valorisation of their immediate territorial cultural characteristics in order to analyse on what basis are founded their ties to the territory and then share information to further reflect on the opportunities given by the amplification of relationships with other cultures. Probably this reflection will reveal that there are connections with other cultures, other persons, other homes and so new ties will be found, new awareness that we cannot be divided from our culture and from other cultures.

    Competences and skills:

    • Growth mindset – Looking at any situation, even negative ones , as an opportunity to learn, grow, and change for the better.
    • Resilience – Being able to appreciate and valorize as an opportunity those aspects which we underestimate or of which we have a negative consideration.
    • Communication skills – Being able to actively listen to others and articulate one's own ideas in writing and speaking to any audience in an effective way.
    • Teamwork skills – Being able to work effectively with anyone with different skill sets, personalities, work styles, or motivation level to achieve a better team result.
    • Presentation skills – Effectively presenting your work results and ideas formally to an audience that captivates their attention, engage their input, and motivates them to act in accordance to your desired outcome.

    Starting period: October 2018.

    Students age: 8 - 15

Activities and expected results: Activities will be based on the discovery and valorisation of a cultural item of one’s own city/region (historical personalities, naturalistic beauties, traditions, events). Research will be conducted to find out whatever possible connection with cultural influences coming from the past, from other countries, from other languages. Conclusive activity is aimed at writing a short thriller/fantastic story/other genre by tracing the itinerary of journeys made by each group, finding out those crossroads who will reveal multicultural evidences and, far more, who reveal to participants the beauty of dividing, separating, recomposing, creating, evolving things in something of a new puzzle.
