What is "From Scientix To STEM" Project

  • The Goal of The Project:

    The Scientix project is a project sponsored by European school networks for the dissemination of STEM education in Europe. Within the scope of this project, many activities on STEM education are organized and trainings are carried out.

    The primary aim of our project is to introduce our teachers and projectors who are members of the eTwinning community. Apart from that, the activities we plan to do will ensure that our project members are actively involved in the Scientix project. as well as the Scientix ambassadors among the members, to fulfill the tasks of dissemination. STEM-based activities and lesson plans will be created within the scope of the project.

    Project Objectives:

    1) Teachers interested in STEM education should be informed about the Scientix project.

    2) Teachers will be provided access to the resources on the Scientix portal.

    3) Teachers will benefit from these resources to integrate their STEM activities into their courses.

    3) Scientix activities will involve teachers and students from different cities and countries.

    4) Teachers will have Scientix portraits and STEM education awareness.

    5) Teachers will perform activities to inform other teachers and students in their schools.

    6) Students will be provided with a description of the STEM professions.

    7) Expansion activities will be carried out for the Scientix project.

    Working Process:

    1) Scientix project and portals will be introduced to teachers

    2) Teachers must be members of the Scientix portal.

    3) Teachers will be provided with access to Scientix portal resources and STEM education information.

    4) Teachers will be provided with STEM activities.

    5) The events will be shared via social media and eTwinnig.

    6) Teachers will inform other teachers and students in their schools about Scientix portals and STEM education.

    7) Students will be informed about STEM professions and career opportunities.

    8) An e-journal will be formed from the events.

    9) Each project partner will have at least one Scientix information meeting in their school.

     

    Expected Results:

    1) Teachers who are knowledgeable about the Scientix project will be provided with STEM education concepts. In addition, teachers will be provided with positive attitudes towards using STEM in their lessons.

    2) Teachers and students involved in the project are expected to design and use different STEM activities in their lessons.

    3) Students should be informed about STEM professions.

    4) An e-journal will be prepared by bringing the STEM events that are realized.

    5) Schools will be given STEM and Scientix awareness.

    6) STEM events held in schools will be exhibited.

    10) Project partner teachers will exhibit their STEM activities in their schools. In addition, teachers will create a "Scientix board" in their school.

    11) Surveys will be implemented at the beginning and end of the project.
