Our project

  •    SPEAK, SO THAT I CAN SEE YOU

In this project our students will discuss about the conflicts that can happen at their schools and different ways to solve them. They will work with the ideas of bullying, conflict resolution, mediation, tolerance, active listening, human rights, empathy, etc. At the end of the project they will have made a comic showing a conflict and a way of solving it peacefully. This comic can be used when new students start at school to show them how conflicts can be prevented and solved through (peer) mediation.

The OBJECTIVES of the project are:

         - To raise awareness among students of the importance of solving conflicts in a peaceful way, through (peer) mediation.

         - To improve ICT skills and communication skills in a foreign language, English.

         - To promote interaction between students from different countries in order to share ideas and reach agreements.

         - To think about human rights and to increase tolerance and inter-cultural understanding.

    And the EXPECTED RESULTS:

We expect to have our students work together with students from other countries to discuss about conflicts at schools and about the importance of solving them in a peaceful way, through (peer) mediation. The final product of this project will be the production of collaborative comics showing all the process of conflict resolution that will be displayed in all the schools. The comics will be based on the values of tolerance, human rights, negotiation, mediation, empathy and intercultural understanding. In this way we are going to improve the visibility of the mediation groups in the schools and to learn about conflict resolution in schools from other countries.
