RECYCLING

  • RECYCLING

Waste are produced in connection with the everyday life of each of us, wherever at home, school or a workplace. They are becoming a problem to our environment. As part of environmental education and Erasmus Plus, on the 29th October 2015 year pupils from class 6a went to the recycling center located on the outskirts of Działdowo. Here you can see the process of collecting, sorting and recycling and the way how it works. The classes began in the room where the children could see types of wastes, the principles and methods of their segregation at home. They saw semi-finished products such as PET flakes, granules and non-woven, and the production of those items: plastic containers, boxes. Then the students walked along the educational trail leads along the boards from which they learned about the route which the waste pass before they are disposed and processed. Children watched different trash dump: bottles, cans, tires, plastic, paper and bulky waste collection point and electronics. They visited the sorting room, where the staff manually chose the items that can be recycled. Also they saw the end result of this segregation. They saw also modern vehicles and machines including garbage trucks, wheel loaders, as well as crimping waste compactors. At the end we received boxes for the school battery collection.
