Our sewing tutorial is almost ready. We've finished recording the comments, we just need to add them to the video. Here is the written version of the tutorial: 

1-Assembler les côtés : superposer l’envers du devant sur l’envers  dos.  Les côtés doivent être bord à bord. Engager sous le pied presseur de la piqueuse plate. Piquer à 1,5 cm.

1-Put the front and back pieces together: The edges must perfectly match. Place the seam under the presser foot on the sewing machine. Leave a 1.5 centimetres seam allowance. Lower the presser foot and sew.

  

2-Surfiler les assemblages : Engager le tissu sous le pied presseur de la surjeteuse. Ne pas positionner le tissu près du couteau afin de Surfiler sans couper le tissu.

2-Serge the seams: Place the seam under the presser foot of the overlock. Be careful not to cut the fabric when sewing. 

             

3-Coucher les coutures au fer vers le dos  

3- Press the seams flat towards the back

4-Thermocoller les enformes : On prend les enformes avec le thermocollant. On superpose thermocollant face colle sur l'envers de enforme puis on thermocolle au fer.

 

4- Iron the yokes together: Take the pieces of interfacing. Put the interfacing piece on the matching fabric piece. The sticky part must face the fabric’s wrong side. Then iron the pieces together.

5- Surfiler les enformes : Surfiler le bas des enformes. Engager les enformes sous le pied presseur, l’endroit  du tissu doit être apparent.   Appuyer sur la pédale pour mettre en marche la surjeteuse.

Serge the yokes : Serge the bottom edge of the yokes. Place the seam under the presser foot of the overlock. The right side must be facing up.

 

6- Assembler enformes aux encolures à 1 cm.  Surpiquer  nervure (1mm du sillon) sur enforme .Vérifier que les valeurs de coutures soient couchée vers l'enforme .

Sew the yokes on the necklines. Overstitch 1 millimeter away from the edge on the piece. The seams should be lying flat towards the piece.

 

7-Assembler le biais aux emmanchures.

Enfiler la piqueuse plate avec une couleur de fil identique à la couleur du biais utilisé. Installer le guide bordeur sur la piqueuse plate. Engager les emmanchures dans le guide (Vérifier que coutures côtés soient couchées vers le dos) puis piquer.

 

7:Put the bias on the armholes. Thread the sewing machine with a thread matching the colour of the bias. Put the binder on the sewing machine. Place the armhole in the binder. Check if the seams are lying flat towards the back and sew. Make two 90 centimeters long bias and save them for later.

 

8-  Assembler les enformes à 2.5cm du bord de l'encolure devant et  dos afin de réaliser des coulisses. L’envers de l’enforme contre envers du vêtement. Point d’arrêt début et fin. Ne pas piquer sur les biais !

Sew the yokes 2.5 centimeters away from the edge of the neckline to create the casing. The wrong side of the yoke should be facing the wrong side of the shirt. Start and finish using a stay stitch. Be careful not to sew on the binding!

 

 

9- Remplier les liens au guide bordeur : Remplier les extrémités, fermer par un  point main.

Fold the edge of the casing twice and secure with a hand stitch.

  

 

10- Passer les liens dans l’encolure/ coulisse : Faire glisser le lien dans l’enforme. Vous pouvez vous aider d’une épingle à nourrice

Using a safety pin or a ruler, thread the straps through the casing.

11- Surfiler le bas du vêtement à la surjeteuse (Vérifier que coutures côtés soient couchées vers le dos). Remplier   à 1cm et réaliser un point invisible à la main.

Serge the bottom edge of the shirt. All the seams must be lying flat toward the back. Fold twice to create a 1 centimeter hem. Sew using a blind stitch.
