Third meeting in Slovenia "Religious Equality"

    Profile of participants: the participants are members of the target group (16-17-year-olds) who will be selected for the purpose of this exchange. They will prepare presentations of their country, school and region, a description about religious stereotyping and discrimination in their countries. 
    The teachers are teachers of English and other subjects, who have been selected for participation. They will coordinate students' work and participate in the same activities and workshops as them, to gain topic-related knowledge and share practices and opinions with other teachers.

    Number of participants:
    4 students from Turkey and 2 accompanying teachers
    6 students from Italy and 2 accompanying teachers
    4 students from Romania and 2 accompanying teachers
    4 students from Lithuania and 2 accompanying teachers
    Each team of students will include a student belonging to one of the following categories: special needs, economic obstacles, learning difficulties, refugees, cultural obstacles.

    Topic of the exchange: Religious equality: common stereotypes related to religions and religious beliefs; effects of such stereotypes; analysis of cases in which stereotypes and discrimination against religions had terrible consequences.

    Activities - the exchange will include several types of activities:
    1. Ice-breaking activities - communication games, tour of the school
    2. Cultural events -  welcoming artistic programme, presentations of countries, schools, regions, towns, international evening, traditional evening, guided tour of tourist attractions in the area.
    3. Meetings with NGOs and local authorities to discuss the topics at local level and the measures taken to address them.
    5. Topic-related activities - students make the presentations in front of the other participants, they discuss the situations, make comparisons, express opinions and suggest solutions; seminars, workshops and activities on the topic of the exchange (run by teachers with expertise or NGO partners), interactive games, role plays.
    6. The creation of products by students - students work in multicultural teams and create posters of the exchange, campaign posters to raise awareness about the issues of religious tolerance "United as One under the European Sky" (also used as a tool for evaluating the impact)
    7. Evaluation activities - students complete initial surveys and final surveys as well as feedback forms, to measure the success of the event, completion of Europass Mobility documents, presenting the certificates of attendance.
