A sculpture which has to do with butcher's table. On its surface, a map of the world is represented it. Animal's blood ... human's blood ... war ... could probably be the correlation ...

Thessaloniki …. a town of refugees

Thessaloniki is a city that welcomed the refugees who came after the Minor Asia disaster in 1922. The students visited the castles (Upper Town). They were confronted with the history of the city and took photos of refugee neighborhood’s, alleys and houses. Some of them were reconstructed. Some have been destroyed over time. They remain to remind everyone that refugees, of any nationality and any age, are themselves the victims of expediency and interest.

Participation in the 23rd Festival of Education of the Municipality of Kordelio - Evosmos

The Municipality of Kordelio - Evosmos is currently organizing the 23rd Festival of Education 2018 with the participation of 1050 primary and secondary school students.
The theme of the Festival: "There is a lot of sun in every one of us and we have to wake him up to shine and warm the world" Yannis Ritsos.
1st EPAL of Evosmos participated for first time with three students in the unit of expressive reading. One of them, Nicolaidou Lambrini, was qualified and distinguished.
Both the idea of our participation and the reading of these literary texts is the epicenter of the two European Programs of the 1st EPAL of Evosmos that are in progress during the current school year. Specifically, we refer to the following programs: Erasmus + 2017-1EL01-KA101-035363 on "Bilingual students in the modern vocational high school. The example of their integration through Technical and Vocational Education in the Greek-European School and Society ". An action approved by the National IKY institute and moves alongside Etwinning, "Literature Suitcases", a European program focusing on phillanagnosis.
The action was supported by the professors of our school: Mrs. Fotiadou Angeliki, Mr. Arvanitidis Christos and Mrs Mavromichalis Maria.
The students read extracts of literary texts of anti-war character, through which they showed the importance of humanity and solidarity. In particular, they are: 1) "Kites over the City", by Kalent Hossein, 2) "The Stone of Patience" by Atik Rahimi and 3) "Irene" by Yiannis Ritsos.
The participating students sent a loud message that everything can change in the world as long as there is willingness and faith.
