World Book Day

  • Around April 23 there are activities that can be developed in the classroom or in the library of the school.

Each tutor chooses the type of activities according to the time available and the development of the programming.

The interestin thing is that everyone acquires the commitment to carry out some activity that takes place aorund the book and reading.

This year the library of Šeduva Gymnasium celebrated World Book Day and invited its readers to the event to read books.

There were a few new and cosy spaces created in the library. Our librarian Vita Kasarauskienė and teacher Dovilė Šerpetauskienė invited everybody to read books just for pleasure but not because it is necessary for the lessons. The organizers of this event asked the participants to tell what they thought of books and what reading meant to them. Many students, teachers and other school staff read the books on that day. Senior students were reading books to primary students and vice versa. Our students had an opportunity not only to read or listen to some fairy tales but also to read to their pets such as a dog or even a turtle. The library was really busy on that day.
