Malala Prize: a group will propose different candidates to be awarded.
Working Procedure
- Multinational sub-working group, with 3 students will choose and present a candidate, commited in the defense of Human Rights and Freedom of Speech. These personnalities could be local peoples, members of association, writers, journalist, etc. But there is no obligation of a local implantation. By example, someone from a non partner coutry could be chosen if the student thinks he or she deserves to be awarded.
- One or two teachers will supervise this group and the different sub-groups to support and help the student in their work.
- Each group will have to defend and make a file to promote their candidate.
- Once this achieved, every deputies will vote individually for their favorite candidate and pick a winner to award.
How to make the presentation?
Each group will have to work collaboratively. That means that every student must take part to the work.
Supervisors will help and support them to make their presentation. This help and support may take different forms like video-conferences, chat, mails, etc. Your supervisor will get in touch with the group shortly (don't forget to check your messages on the Twinspace).
The presentation should be divided in four parts:
- Biography,
- Commitment for Human Rights and / or Freedom of Speech,
- Quotes, exhibitions or illustrations,
- Argumentation : why this candidate should be awarded by the Malala Prize?

The presentation can be done with Powerpoint, Prezi, Powtoon, Slideshare or whatever you want. However, don't forget that the presentation and communication is a big part of your agumentation...

Use this google sheet to work with your group members. Every member have to work on the candidate and write at least one paragraph. It's up to each group to decide together what will be on your presentation.
Attention : the presentation must be finished for the 2nd of March !

Final selection in Strasbourg
The final selection was made in Strasbourg with direct voting by the members of the European Student Council. In this vote, which took place on 23 March 2018, the personality proposed by students of "Εκπαιδευτήρια Πάνου" was voted. The Malala Prize will be officially handed over to Mr. M. Vardinoyannis at a special ceremony in 29th October 2018 by the students of Panou school on behalf of the European Student Council.
