This is the Croatian story:

"Once upon a time in a small but beautiful village Rakotule lived a small boy. We never knew his name. His family and people in the village were poor but happy and helpful.

They had sheep, chicken and donkeys. There weren't many people in the village. There were only small houses and a small church of St. Nicholas. On Sundays they went to church.

One Sunday in December the boy was bored at church. So he wrote in the wall a small wish. Small glagolitic letters said: „Dear St. Nick, send me a small bag of money, please!“

Maybe his wish didn't come true but he became famous."
