Local speciality - ZSO Bobowa

    Carrot and beetroot cake
    Ingredients:
    375 grams of wheat flour
    2 teaspoons of baking powder
    a pinch of salt
    1,5 teaspoons of cinnamon
    225 millilitres of oil
    440 grams of powdered sugar
    5 eggs
    225 grams of raw, grated and squeezed beetroots
    225 grams of raw, grated and squeezed carrot
    150 grams of chopped nuts
    Preparation:
    Whip egg yolks with powdered sugar.
    Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
    To whipped yolks add gradually the mixture with flour, oil and whip.
    Add carrot, beetroot, nuts and combine gently.
    Whip egg whites and combine with the mixture.
    Bake about 1 hour in temperature 180° Celcius.
    Cool the cake and sprinkle with powdered sugar at the top.
