Project

  • Postal stamps have lost part of their importance since modern communication technology offers other reliable, cheap and fast ways to communicate. However, the significance of stamps goes far beyond their use to prove that postage was paid. Illustrations shown on them are important because they commemorate events or show relevant places or people. With this project we intend our students from France, Germany, Ireland and Spain to identify the historical, natural or cultural elements included, research on them and create original stories. They will write these stories from collages and stamps and will exchange these visual elements so that other students can learn about their daily lives, but also their towns, nature, traditions or landmarks. They will be using a foreign language (English /German) as a medium, which makes it fun, creating stories and improving their ICT skills at the same time. Finally, an e-magazine will be created to show their work.
