5th Panhellenic eTwinning Conference "The use of Information & Communication Technologies in Collaborative School Projects in Primary & Secondary Education"
November 23, 24, 25 - Ioannina, Greece
On November the 24th, together with Georgia Voudouri, we presented our paper "Distance collaboration and in person co-operation, within implementation of the European eTwinning Project Embracing art". It was a great experience and we got great feedback!
Conference "Arts in Greek Schools: present and future"
The Scientific Committee of the Conference "Arts in Greek Schools: present and future" orginized by the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens- Faculty of Music and Theatre Studies and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki -Faculty of Fine Arts, under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic, approved my proposal, so pupils for Primary Schools of Pentalofos and I will be presenting our project"Embracing art". The Conference will take place in Athens, 11- 13 October 2018.
We presented "Embracing art" with 2 of my former pupils and got enthousiastic feedback from the participants of our workshop, during the Conference "Arts in greek schools: present and future" in Kapodistriako University of Athens (11-13/10/2018). It was an amazing experience! Thank you Cristina and all partners for the implementation of this great project!
Contact with the Polish painter Janusz Orzechowski
Janusz Orzechowski, the artist who created "Veronica on a swing" proposed by Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. bł. ks. Ludwika Gietyngiera w Łagiewnikach and Jolanta Szynka, was contacted by Maria Panousiadou from Primary School of Pentalofos. She informed him about our project and asked him if he would be interested for a skype meeting with pupils. Unfortunatelly Mr. Orzechowsky wasn't available for a skype meeting, but he shared his contentment for the inspiration his painting offered to our project!

END OF SCHOOL YEAR - EMBRACING ART CELEBRATION !
WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF THE WHOLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY
14/6/2018 Tomorrow is the end of the school year in Greece, so today we celebrated Embracing art with the School Community of Pentalofos! We held an exhibition of our works of art and collaborative paintings and pupils presented our eTwinning project to the 154 pupils, the educators and parents of our Primary School! Everyone admired our works and we got very enthusiastic feedback! Thank you fo a highly creative collaboration! We wish you all happy summer holidays!

The collaborative painting "Olive Harvest" by Theofilos is ready in Pentalofos! Maria Dem. painted the one piece missing, until we recieve it and replace it.
The Collaborative painting "Albania is dancing" by Abdurrahim Buza! We finished it and we;ll replace the 2 missing parts when they arrive. Thanks to all partners participating for their parts and lovely letters!
Our contribution to the Collaborative Song
Dear friends, the first verse of our project's song is ready! By the end of next week we will record and send you the melody, so anyone interested can write and record their verse, to complete the song. I hope you will all get envolved in this creation!

Today D1 Primary Class of Pentalofos had an idea for our project's logo. The figure of a child embracing the word ART. Pupils worked in groups and this is what they created. What do you think?
