WE ALL PLAY TRADITIONAL GAMES

Key competences: Social and Civic, Cultural Expression, Learning to Learn, Digital and Communicative. When teachers program a Syllabus Planning to develop the different contents of the Official Curriculum of Education, there is a crucial resource which is always involved in the process. This is games. Kids learn through playing, and this is even crucial in PE, as activities turn around games all the time to get conceptual, procedural or attitudinal aims. Actually, traditional games are part of the work in order not only to improve different motor skills, create healthy habits and develop good attitudes in pupils, but also to keep alive their own cultural heritage. However, we cannot lose the chance to go forward and make our pupils know others children’ national heritage by playing others' traditional games in an attempt to raise them more tolerant and respectful of other cultures. Families, grandparents especially, will be able to take part in this project as an important resource
