Task 1 - Introduce yourself, your school and your Country. Icebreaking activity
|
|
First you have to read the goals and objectives of the project and share them with your classmates. Then you have to introduce yourself, you can talk about you, your hobbies, what you like and dislike. You have to use padlet, you find it below in this page. Second, in the section “Materials” there is a folder of your Country where you can upload pictures about you and your daily life, …. Third, for introducing your school/Country you can use software as Word, PowerPoint, video, etc….. then you have to upload it in a folder in section “Materials”.

Task 2 - Find out traditional food in every country
|
|
Students have to find out traditional food of their Country. They have to work in group to prepare an article about pros & cons traditional food. Students have to include in the article at least 3 different recipes of traditional food.

Task 3 Make a logo of the project – Our logo project – I propose my logo
|
|
|
Each student, group or school have to create a logo for the project about traditional food. Then each logo named with a specific word have to be uploaded in a folder on twinspace. Each student after look at the pictures can vote favorite logo on www.stickymoose.com writing the word of logo. Each student can vote just once. The logo with more vote will be the project’s logo. For this activity you have time until 15th Dec.
Additional activity
Christmas is coming: please, send 2 postcards to each of the participating schools via post. (ask all the schools to write their school address with a name in the apposite google.doc) the aim of sending is a postcard notice board creation from different Countries.

Task 4 - The importance of traditional food. Do you know why is traditional food so important?
|

|
Students have to work in group of different countries for realizing a mindmap. They have to start from this question: “Is traditional food healthy?” then they have to indicate benefits, healty food, food to avoid, how much to eat, the costs, etc…
For this activity they have time until 31st Jan

Task 5 - Collect written and oral sources. I interview older people about traditional food
|

Students have to interview elder people about food of the past in their hometown, write the recipes with ingredients and procedure and insert them in the shared ebook. If it’s possible students can register the interviewed and make a video with subtitles in English and link it to ebook.

Task 6 - Exchange recipes for favorite traditional dishes;
|

|
Students have to choose one of the recipes showed in the task 2 by other countries that they like and cook it (please, write the recipe chosen in the board below). Students can ask to partner for ingredients they cannot find in their country to be sent to them by mail. Finally, students have to present the outcome on Twinspace. Be creative! Students can use different web tools such as moviemaker, vimeo, PPT, magisto, emaze

Task 7 - Final outcome – IWe show you what we did!

Each school team has to prepare a presentation to communicate the results of the project to their partners by meeting online
At the end of the project the students take a survey with the same questions as the initial survey, to see whether they changed habits or views on traditional food.
