What do our students really KNOW about Europe? Probably what we tell them or what they hear or read from the media. But what do they THINK Europe is? Have they got curiosities, (right or wrong) ideas, personal knowledge, prejudices, etc?
So, let's make them THINK and EXPRESS their idea of Europe, giving them a couple of options:
1. They can document and tell stories, curiosities, traditions about their own country;
2. They can become researchers and discover other European countries, no matter what their nationality is. For instance an Italian can present Denmark or a Polish can study, why not, Spain!
If research about their own culture can easily result in a more accurate work, letting the students explore the other countries from a different point of view can also be challenging and offer another learning and knowledge opportunity.
So, let our students snoop around and discover Europe through the most curious aspects of traditions and cultures!
