The rationale of this project is the sensitizing of pupils to the issue of "Living in a smart environment 2030 - chances and challenges". The ecological, economic and social problems within the pupils' environment in a rapidly ever-changing digital age also make a change of today's educational landscape indispensable. In order to awaken an awareness of the opportunities and dangers behind all these issues which will continuously be more predominant in daily and school life, a critical approach to modern media is to be learnt by both pupils and teachers. The current and upcoming problems can be challenged in the best way by a reasonable usage of modern technology. Regarding ecological and economic challenges, the pupils are to find solutions for an improvement of a smart urban environment to issues such as traffic, energy and pollution.
