ANALYZING ARTICLES ON REFUGEES IN NEWSPAPERS

  • Students worked in civics lessons with different newspapers and magazines to find out whether the articles sound positive, negative or neutral. Based on the analysis, the students wrote a story called "In a different skin". The aim was to describe the feelings of a person who decides to leave the country to protect themselves and their families from war, poverty or political hardships.

    A noticeboard was created on the topic and the students also discussed their opinions which helped them to learn to listen and respect different opinions on one topic.
