    About the SYGEM project   #eTwCitizen16

The project is about Developping interactive-maps of the region students live in, Through its final result it will present the green energy sources (wind, solar,...) in the area where students live in . It is a project of building Digital European Citizenship skills and competences

    AIMS

The project aims at developing students’ digital and communicative skills as well as acquiring new knowledge on the topic of green energy sourcesEach pupil will have to introduce an energy product system (photos, vidéos,...) close to their home.   They will try to visit and show the more interesting things they have discovered on the eTwinning space. An European interactive map will be created combining with the all groups’ maps.
Students will improve their communicative skills as they will have to work in teams and collaborate for the common task, which is a common final map. By doing this they will learn more about their own environment and sources of energy. As the project is designed to be mainly online maintained, they will develop their IT skills as their work will require using ICT.
Technical information will be available to support t the map (provided and uploaded by teachers) and all the school activities will be shared on eTwinspace.

    WORK PROCESS

    October-december 2016:
    - At the begenning the task will be an individual preparation for the groups
    - The teachers will spend time from today until december to share their need to prepare pupils’ activities.
    - Tools: twinspace (chat, forum, e-mail, video-conferences, map mind...)

    EXPECTED RESULTS

    * The final result and product will be an inter-active map of students’ findings of green energy sources.
    * The expected results concern both students and teachers.
    * Students on the one hand will make : regional map of green energy sources.
=> Each pupils will try to increase the number of point on his regional map with à presentation (photos, vidéos, schematic diagram to show how the sytem works, audio recording...)
=> Each point of the map will be linking to a pdf doc (of other) with pupils results.

    * Teachers will make a comon: European map of green energy.
=> They will look for the best way to show the european map (googlemaps, sildes,...)
    * Teachers: complément (option)
=> Sharing specific technical informations about power systems (if possible) to help compaire productions, installed power, environmental impact saved, ...)
