The Project

  • Thanks to this project, students will start their own web channel to share information and news about themselves, their cities, their countries and their everyday life. Through cooperation and in mixed teams they will feed their channel and have their schools know more about what is going on around.

    GOALS

-develop journalistic skills both for students and teachers : use media vocabulary, choose a topic in a collaborative way, develop sections, topics and shoot a report or documentary.
-improve ICT skills for students by using ICT tools (cameras to shoot reports, computers to edit videos and organize their work).
-work in a collaborative way in mixed teams.
-learn about their Europeans partners and Europe's cultural heritage.

    -include all students.

    WORK PROCESS

Our twinspace will be the place where both teachers and students exchange ideas about the project. All partners will be part of each activity in an equal way.
    -October/November:
    Task 1: Logo competition
Task 2: Introductions. Students write  presentations about themselves  and share them on the forum. Their partners will imagine how they look using Graffiti Playdo or draw avatars on tellagami.com/ faceyourmanga.com and compare their arts of work with pictures which will be downloaded afterwards on a padlet.
    -November/December:
Voting for the best sections which will be implemented (using Tricider) and for the jingle.
-December to April/May: reporters propose subtopics, write their scripts and shoot their reports/documentaries.
    -May: Evaluations and Dissemination Activities.

    EXPECTED OUTCOME

    We expect students to:

-fuel a web channel on Twinspace as true reporters and journalists: create a logo for their channel, write reports and make interviews on various topics and shoot them
    -learn to work together online
-learn about each other and their countries
    -improve their ICT skills
