    2) Farmers/ typical costume of the area

a love poem to his beloved Beatrice written by our most famous Italian poet

    2)SAN MARTINO (GIOSUE' CARDUCCI)

a poem by an important poet (Giosué Carducci) who lived in the XIX century and really loved our area and mountains: "San Martino" is a poem many Italian students have to study at a certain point of their lives. A famous Italian singer released it as a song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmXhWr17uJ8

It's about a special day in a village of central Italy.

This day is on November 11th and it's also a special day for  Gordona (a small village) where one of the classes involved go to school: lucky them they were on holiday on that day while students from Chiavenna and Campodolcino had to go to school!

    3) MOMENT DE NUSTALGIA (GIOVANNI BERTACCHI)

This poem is written in our local dialect by a popular poet of our area Giovanni Bertacchi (1869-1942). Here's a link to the reading of the complete poem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S63LnPvV-vY

    4) FOLK SONG "BELLA CIAO"

"Bella ciao" is a popular song but a poem to us. It's about partisans who had to say goodbye to their beloved to hide and fight in the mountains in the 2nd World War.

We recorded it as well. Our teacher Enrico Aliotta can play the guitar and we sang it for you. Hope you enjoy it.

Costumes: we drew a typical costume from our area (costumes varied from  town to town, from village to village...)

As we had no instructions what to do we translated a folk song for kids. Here´s a recorded version:
