Greece - Turkey (Istanbul)

  • On March 21, 2017 a mutual teaching live meeting was organized between the Greek and the Turkish school.

    Purpose: Teaching each other how to create a simple app for robots and develop together a special app.

    Lesson language: English

    Robot: Lego Mindstorms EV3

    Software for development: Lego Mindstorms EV3 programming language

    Software for communication: Skype

    Software for supervision and remote control: Teamviewer.

    Description: The Greek pupils taught the Turkish pupils how to create their first robotics app . 

    The Greek pupils could see and guide the Turkish pupils through Skype. The Turkish pupils could see and hear their peers in Greece who were doing the lesson. They could also watch the robot moving, following their instructions.

    The Turkish pupils could program and control the robot in Greece, as the computer that was running Lego programming language in Greece was controled through Teamviewer  from Poland.

    The robot was connected to the computer with Bluetooth.

    The Turkish pupils learned how to make simple movements and add sound to the robot.

    At the end, the pupils developed together an app, making the robot follow a full square and do some more elaborate movements on the ground.
