Now that our 1st LTT has arrived to its end, let me thank you all for making this week so special. Please enjoy our first two videos on your first day visit to our school below, and visit our 1st LTT Page often for all the new ones in the coming days. I would also encourage you all to upload your amazing pictures/videos there and of course here to the project journal. Finally, we would like you to know that we enjoyed every minute of your stay both in school and "beyond"! :)

(Please add your pictures/videos on your first day HERE!)

On your second day in our school, we used our LEGO Mindstorm robots (EV3) for basic programming activities. It became really interesting (entertaining?) when you teachers joined in! :)

REMEMBER: if you want to buy these devices, you better opt for the HOME version for your school!

(Do you have some nice photos/videos on this LEGO activity? Please make sure that you edit them with either Animoto or other free software before you upload them ABOVE! this message. Thanks, Balazs)

On your third day at Ballysillan PS, we introduced your children to OZOBOT (www.ozobot.com) and following a short intro to how they work and need to be programmed, all the children were asked to search for some famous National Monument, scalpture or touristic icon from their country on their Ipads. Then we asked them to draw those pictures, colour them in and finally cut them out and place them to our OZOBOT Table. Finally the task was to programme their ozobots (2 for each table) to visit all these famous places on their ozobot table, while sharing their culture with their peers. It was fascinating seeing them sharing, collaboratively working with each other, getting over with any language barrier and just have fun as we teachers could tell by observing their progress from the back of the room. :)
