We often tell ourselves and our students that math is all around us, but that can ring hollow if you’re someone who looks around and, to be quite honest, you don’t really see it. We don’t know what to look for – we don’t know what “mattered” – so we are effectively blind to all the math around me. So we started to find and share examples of math in the world around me in the hopes of showing others – teachers and students – where to start finding it for themselves.
