Hello. I've asked my pupils a few questions about the project:
- Which activities have you enjoyed? Most pupils loved making the posters becasue it gave some reality to their movies and it enabled them to see what the other teams had achieved. Some liked presenting their favourite movies.
- Which activities have you disliked? Registring audios to present the characters and justify the choice of actors and actresses came first, the pupils said they found it difficult or didn't like their recorded voice. Second came the writing of synopses, some pupils said they lacked imagination. Third, some pupils, a minority, said it was difficult to choose partners to make teams, they would have preferred to be assigned partners.
- What would you have like to do? All pupils said they would have loved to have Skype sessions, or to meet their partners somewhere between our towns. Inside the project, they would have loved to make video trailers.
- What would you suggest to improve the project? A schooltrip to meet our partners, of course!
- Would you like to have further etwinning or mobility experiences? Most answered YES, but for fun more than for work: they'd prefer an informal exchange.
As for me, I have really enjoyed working that way. I realise that very few pupils refuse to take part to activities. It's more efficient than a book or any pedagogical material to make the pupils work together to create a common story, common posters, etc. At the end of the schoolyear, most pupils have learnt a lot although they don't really realise how much.
Enjoy your summer break.
Morgane.
