Planet Earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old, mankind is about 140.000 years old. Compared to planet Earth we have been here for 3 seconds’ (Prince Ea -spoken artist-) and we did quite a lot of damage to the environment. Humans have always been smart, they travelled the universe and made incredible discoveries but they haven’t been wise enough to listen to the signs that nature is sending us: storms, drought etc., things that will finally lead to the extinction of all species, including humanity. Unfortunately, humankind has got to the point of depriving itself of its own natural rights. The main idea of the project is to raise awareness of the main environmental issues and call for action to protect nature so people can have healthy, happy and sustainable lives. Environment and climate action are key priorities for the EU now and in the future.
