After all Maths is everywhere!

OBJECTIVES

• improve mathematical skills while having fun and working with students of other nationalities
• practice English and interct in the foreign language for a real purpose
• improve digital skills useful interact remotely with other students
• stimulate cultural awareness

ACTIVITIES

Activities start at the beginning of January, in relation to the respective Christmas vacations.

ACTIVITY 1:  partners, divided into groups, produce a presentation  by illustrating the main national monuments through the geometric figures that constitute them.

Finally the partners create a poster with the monuments chosen by each partner country through a vote.

The final product of this first activity is a logo that represents the ideal city, a union of the cities of all the participants.

ACTIVITY 2: around the date 3/14 Pi Day: reflection and elaboration of activities for this international Day (Pi as fixed ratio between circumference and diameter):

 “Pizza challenge”: the partners are divided into teams of different nationalities and compete to create the more geometrical pizza ever.

ACTIVITY 3: Meet online for Mathematics in our countries. Partners  create a presentation to promote their own country in a mathematical way.
