This letter was created for the speech system of the Thessaloniki area, on the basis of which the first Slavic literary language was developed: the Church Slavonic literary language. There are about forty theories about the origin of the Glagolitic alphabet, presented by prominent world and Croatian historians, paleographers and linguists.
