    Project participants will be:

     - students participating in the project aged 13-15

    - partner school teachers

     

    Description of the project:

     

    Classes will be held as part of the compulsory classes as additional methodological activities.

    The aim of innovation is to change the way of acquiring knowledge about the history and culture of one's own country and partner countries, consisting in cooperation between students from various schools in Poland and in Europe.

    This project aims to encourage and motivate learners to collaborate also at European level and to learn more about the history and culture of their own country and other European countries through eTwinning activities.

     

    Motivation to introduce eTwinning project:

    Shaping intercultural awareness through participation in the eTwinning international school collaboration project: "ONE WORLD - ONE HISTORY / Shared Earth - Shared History" is an answer to the educational requirements of the current core curriculum for history teaching in primary school.  

    It will be a new form of work for the students of our school. The cooperation of students in the eTwinning project will develop their creativity, communication skills, searching for information, using various sources of knowledge, and will improve their communication skills in English.

     

     

    The goals of his project:

    The main goal of the project is the exchange of good practices .

    The most important priority of this project is to support students and teachers in acquiring and improving basic skills and key competences . Additional priorities in line with the project goals and related to school education are: 

    Promoting a comprehensive approach to teaching and learning.

    Promoting learning the history of one's own country and European countries.

     • Strengthening the attitudes of patriotism.

     

    The most important topics covered by the project are:

    •       Intercultural and intergenerational education and lifelong learning.                               

    •       Teaching and learning foreign languages.

    •       Expanding knowledge in the field of history.

     

    Expected achievements 

     

    The results of the undertaken project activities will be:

    ·        establishing contacts, acquaintances and international friendships 

    ·        development of key competences

    ·        opening the project participants to gain new experiences, knowledge and skills

    ·        making people aware of the need for lifelong learning

    ·        creating an album containing information on important historical figures, national traditions and holidays

     

    Collaboration between partner schools.

    Participants will collaborate continuously throughout the project. We will contact each other via the eTwinning platform, e-mails, a group for teachers on WhatsApp and a group for teachers and students on Messenger. We will exchange ideas and motivate each other. Students will work together in online meetings as well as creating presentations.

    The eTwinning project is developed to support partner schools in the effective use of the potential of social capital and to promote the idea of ​​lifelong learning and caring for the relationships between students and teachers . It is also a response to the needs of modern Europe and the challenges it faces, which are compatible with the needs of partner schools. The most important need is to support students in the development and the desire to build a solid foundation habit education and training throughout life , strengthen the status of the profession of teachers, support skills and competencies and yields as corresponding skills competences at a high level and a better mastery of the essential core competencies and cross the high level in the perspective of lifelong learning while caring for the environment for future generations . The project is addressed to: primary school students between the ages of 7 and 10 and teachers.

    The main goal of the project is to familiarize the target groups of the project (students and teachers) with effective ways of learning and teaching in the process of lifelong learning by raising the issues of pandemic while sharing each other's culture and history of their countries.

     

    Use of technology

    The technology will be used by the participants all the time. Children will take photos and export them, create designs together, scann drawings, and create posters in Canva on their own and together. We will only use our own resources or the items available in Canva.

     

    The methodology used in the project is active participation, learning from good practices, self-presentation, creative action, self-reflection , modern technologies supporting the didactic process and research work methodology.

     

    Additional priorities in line with the objectives of the project are:

    - promoting a comprehensive approach to language teaching and learning - this priority is closely linked to the goal of our project, because one of the tasks is to promote a comprehensive approach to language teaching and learning among students, the teacher and the school community , which will result in a long-term effect in the form of development of language competences and opening project participants to gain new experiences, knowledge and skills

    - preventing early leaving, solving the problem of students from disadvantaged groups is also compatible with the objectives of the project and motivates to lifelong learning

    - developing social and civic competences covering the full range of behaviours preparing people for effective and constructive participation in social life in terms of protecting the local environment

     

    The project's expected results and impacts, as well as potential long-term benefits are further collaboration between students and teachers on the eTwinning platform to exchange experiences; permanent use of modern learning and teaching techniques and methods learned during the project; permanent use of acquired messages; using didactic materials collected during the project during current lessons; information about the project in the form of a school newsletter, broadening awareness of being part of the environment.

    Activities undertaken as part of project activities are compatible with the project's objectives, i.e.

    - supporting students and teachers in acquiring and improving basic skills and key competences

    - promoting a comprehensive approach to language teaching and learning among pupils, teachers and the school community

    - motivating for lifelong learning

    - caring for the relationships during a pandemia

    - learning about culture and history of partners’ countries 

     

    Topics of classes

     The innovativeness of the project is based on the use of activating methods, modern techniques and educational methods as well as information and communication technologies in the process of expanding knowledge about history and culture, which is compatible with increasing the attractiveness of the educational program. Learning by project method and applying a participatory approach serve to increase the involvement and motivation of students. Participants have the opportunity to constantly verify their competences. They work in an interdisciplinary way on an ongoing basis, because they use information and communication technologies to process the acquired knowledge. These classes are complementary to the core curriculum of a given country. The introduction of innovative solutions will be facilitated by the exchange of experiences between teachers from partner institutions via the eTwinning and Twinspace platforms.

    The methodology used in the project is active participation, learning from good practices, self-presentation, creative action, self-reflection, modern technologies supporting the didactic process and methodology of research work.

    The foreseen results and impacts of the project and the potential long-term benefits are the continued collaboration of students and teachers on the eTwinning platform to exchange experiences; permanent use of modern techniques and methods of learning and teaching learned during the project; permanent use of the acquired information; using the didactic materials collected during the project during the current lessons; information about the project in the form of a school newspaper, increasing awareness of having a common cultural and historical heritage in Europe.

     

    As part of project activities, students and teachers will participate in the following PROJECT ACTIVITIES:

    - organization of exhibitions and / or multimedia presentations

    - creating an album containing information about important historical figures, national traditions and holidays

    - checking the performance of monthly project tasks

    Evaluation

    The durability of the effects of these activities will be measured:

    - the results of EVALUATION SURVEYS 

    as well as such design activities as:

    - REPORTS on the project activities carried out

    - the quality of the project implementation on the eTwinning platform.

    All these activities will allow to assess the degree, scope and durability of the implementation of project goals.

    All project activities have been planned to bring long-term benefits. It will include knowledge and skills.

    All results and comments will be compiled in a report and made available to the school head.

     

    PUBLICITY

    Project activities will be promoted and disseminated on an ongoing basis through:

    - the eTwinning web platform

    - school websites

    - wall papers.

    The main target groups of our activities are students and teachers from partner schools. Cooperation between schools will be beneficial for each school. The activities of our project will also benefit other schools, which will have the opportunity to use the effects of our work and achievements disseminated to carry out their own educational and upbringing activities. 

    The availability of the project results will be ensured through the regular use of tools such as:

    - websites of partner schools

    - eTwinning

    Thanks to this, everyone interested in the subject of the project will be able to benefit from our experience in this field.

      

    CONTINUATION

    One of the project evaluation tools will be the results of the SURVEYS conducted among selected project participants: students, teachers at the start and end of the project.

    Sustainable achievements of the project activities will be:

    - English language skills

    - ability to use information technology

    - ability to use acquired skills to use methods and techniques of learning and teaching

    - raising awareness of the need to protect the relationships in the context of pandemic

    Students will acquire the ability to make contacts, break down language barriers, make friendships, acquire knowledge of the world, traditions, history, culture of other countries , and above all acquire key skills, including in the field of cooperation, team and individual action, improving qualifications, language and IT competences, lifelong learning.

    The sustainability of the effects of these activities will be measured:

    Participation in the project will significantly contribute to the long-term development of all involved. All project activities have been planned to bring long-term benefits. It will include knowledge and skills to be aware of Europe's cultural diversity and historical wealth. The cooperation that will be undertaken between the schools is likely to be continued in the coming years. It will consist in the exchange of experiences and the creation of new projects via the eTwinning platform.
