“Sustainability” is a very current topic. Being sustainable must be a philosophy of life thinking about the planet, ourselves and what we expect from the future. It is very important to provide children with knowledge inherent to “sustainability”, so that they develop skills that allow them to significantly contribute to building a better world. However, it is necessary to make children understand that their role is not simply to continue a legacy, but to be protagonists of changes that guarantee the preservation of life. Taking care of Planet Earth is everyone's duty. Thus, making children aware of the care to be taken with the Environment is to ensure that in the future they become more responsible and aware human beings. In this context, the project «Little Green Hands» intends to motivate, in students and in the entire educational community, the interest in adopting behavioral attitudes that promote sustainability.
