DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

"Better together" is aimed at motivating students in the use of the English language, through sharing experiences with their partners and getting to know new friends from other countries. Works about their own culture and sharing this knowledge with the other schools will be the main objective of the project. 

The scheduled activities are simple but effective and a non-traditional methodology will be used. Cooperation among partners will be essential throughout the project, so as to potentiate communication and good values. The tasks will be flexible, they will cater diversity and will potentiate their Digital Competence through the use of different tools.  Teamwork will be necessary. Moreover, many of the activities will be transversal, and will be seen in an interdisciplinar way. 

Students will have to think about their own schedules, cultures, traditions... express themselves on a presentation, video... and then discover their mates' works with respect and comprehension. 

OBJECTIVES 

- Improvement of the English language skills (writing, reading, listening, speaking) through motivating activities. 

- Motivation towards the use of English and effective communication with peer students from different countries in Europe. 

- Improvement of the Digital Competence through working with specific Internet tools. 

- Improvement of social abilities such as cooperation and teamwork. 

- Personal growing and enhancing the student's values through knowing about other countries' characteristics and culture. 

- Interdisciplinarity.

WORKING PROCESS

Concerning collaboration among teachers, a set of activities will be agreed through a shared document and videocall meetings. Both cofounders will be the responsible of directing the process, the timing and other issues that can be necessary. All of the teachers involved will have assigned tasks, such as correction of works, control of twinspace (forums, etc), and power of decision. 

RESULTS

- Improvement of the Linguistic Competences of our students. 

- Motivation for English learning and respect for other cultures and countries. 

- Project work in a non-traditional way and effective cooperative work / teamwork. 

- Enhancing of the teachers' etwinning possibilities. 

- Learning and training of non-traditional learning methods. 

- Exploration of new methodologies for our schools and involvement of all the community.
