THE PROJECT

  • SUMMARY

     

    Students learn about their own heritage and the culture of other countries through photography. Students share their photos and collaborate to produce online galleries, posters and collaborative poems among other activities.

    OBJECTIVES

    # To enable the students to communicate with other students across Europe 
    through photography.
    # Students will learn how to take better photos (they could be given a session by a professional photographer).
    #For students to learn about their own heritage (could be taken to a tour) 
    # For students to learn about different countries and cultures.

    WORK PROCESS

    OCTOBER: Task 1: I: Class photo to introduce themselves on padlet. Task 2: SPREAD THE LOVE: Take a Photo that is related to love. Each Photo is given keywords with which students write a collaborative poem.
    NOVEMBER: NATURE: : Making a Collaborative Poster using autumn photos.
    DECEMBER: CHRISTMAS TREE CARDS: Each school takes a photo to make a Christmas card. Cards sent to each school, attached to a Christmas tree. Photos of the tree will be uploaded on Twinspace.
    JANUARY: VIRTUAL FOOD PARTY: Collaborative online presentation: students take photos of their favourite national food with descriptions/recipes making a collaborative PPT. Students can vote for best dish.
    FEBRUARY: HISTORY!: Photo of a historic building & tell it’s story. Create a collaborative virtual gallery using all photos,having various photos of buildings around Europe all under one roof.
    MARCH: Digital book of all the photos taken by the students. Optional school gallery for other students outside eT to view.

    EXPECTED OUTCOME

    Students are expected to:

    - communicate with other students
    - appreciate their heritage
    - learn about different countries
    - improve their photography skills
    - share their knowledge with other students outside eT.
