Media Literacy project: SMART DETECTIVES

Description: 

The idea is for students to enhance their media literacy through several collaborative activities.They will be given checking tools to be aware whether the input they get is actual or fake.

Objectives:

- Develop critical thinking and reading.

- Recognise Fake News.

- Learn how to contrast information.

- Make students aware of biased information.

- Change students' online behaviour.

Work process:

- Ice breaking: That's me in social media. (get to know each other) December 2021.

- Read and compare different pieces of news from different media sources. (January, February)

- Presentation of fake news and reliable sources to identify them. (March).

- Create and play actual and fake game. (April).

- Assessment and dissemination (May)

Expected result:

-Presentations of fake news.

- Games kit.

-Enhance digital competence and identity.
