The project will involve 14-15 year old students from two European countries and will contribute to raise their awareness of the global migration crisis and the role of the EU. Students will learn about migration and will meet refugees and asylum seekers. Relevant issues concerning the reasons to migrate today and in the past will be discussed in international teams and they will look for ways of making a difference towards the future. Through this project, students will have the opportunity to do some research, communicate, interact and create a wide range of products that will be shared and disseminated among the participant schools and local communities and will require the use of English, along with the knowledge and contents of social and history studies, drama and even maths and science. The project will also enhance their creativity and their artistic skills. Role plays and performance practice will give the students the chance to develop true empathy towards migrants’ problems.
