"A volcanic eruption began in Geldingadalir, close to Fagradalsfjall, on southwest Iceland's Reykjanes peninsula, at 20.45 on Friday 19th March 2021. No homes or infrastructure are endangered by the ongoing eruption, which has become a popular visitor attraction.
