Sing a Song for a Better World

The students should create ONE protest song with some verses and ONE chorus. The art of protest songs can readily be associated with the historical context of the 1960s, with such prominent figures as Pete Seeger or Bob Dylan, but the various issues tackled in protest songs of that era such as poverty, struggle for equality, emancipation are still as relevant today as they were back then. Needless to say students will certainly relate to such issues.
