Easter In Logroño

To the sound of trumpets and coinciding with the dawn of spring, Logroño dresses up to celebrate Easter - one of the most traditional festivals in the capital of the Rioja region.
Many processions are held, representing the passion and death of Christ. During what is known by the locals as the Semana Mayor (Holy Week), twelve religious brotherhoods and fraternities show off their cultural heritage in the form of “pasos” (floats with religious scenes and sculptures) through the city streets.

As you can see in the video, the second brotherhood, that is wearing red and golden clothes, are carrying a Vicente Ochoa Sculpture.
