On September 26th we celebrated European Day of Languages at Lekeciai school in Lithuania. Our school students prepared an information board about language facts, diversity and simmilarities of European languages. At English lessons students discussed about the importance of learning their mother tongue and different foreign languages in the current world. During the school event students of classes 7-10 had an opportunity to listen to presentations about European languages and the uniqueness of Lithuanian language in Indo-European language family given by teachers Ruta Krikstopaitiene and Violeta Adomaitiene. Students of class 8 have also presented their project work on languages. After all the presentations students were asked to take part in the quiz of European Day of Languages. Finally, all school students were invited to participate in a musical contest of European languages. In the meantime students of class 5 and 6 were also involved in activities of European Day of Languages.
